Ride In A Hot Air Balloon At Lisle Eyes To The Skies Festival

The Lisle Eyes To The Skies Festival takes place June 30 through July 2. The fest features hot air balloons, carnival rides and more.

LISLE, IL — Residents in Lisle can ride in a hot air balloon, play carnival games and listen to live musical acts at the 35th Annual Lisle Eyes to the Skies Festival. The festival, which is completely run by volunteers, takes place from June 30 through July 2. This year, a world champion balloonist will be on hand for the event.

The festivities include 25 colorful and whimsically shaped hot air balloons, food vendors, interactive arts and crafts and a slew of carnival rides. Kids will get a kick out of a giant bear-shaped balloon that will make its first appearance on behalf of Bimbo Sweet Baked Goods. The Bimbo Bear (Osito Bimbo) balloon will be piloted by John Petrehn, an award-winning balloonist who has worked for Pepsi and Canon USA. Petrehn ranks among the top seven balloonists in the world and has won more than 60 competitions throughout his career.

All of the proceeds from the Eyes to the Skies Festival will benefit local charities and organizations. For more information and tickets, visit the Eyes to the Skies Festival website.
