Guests will be making waves when they embark on the belle of all Balls the first Saturday of May in Chicago. The 33rd Annual Alexian Brothers Ball de Fleur will feature the theme, “A Night at the Rockwell … Instilling Hope One Life at a Time,” and will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019, to raise awareness and expand access to highly specialized services for community members living with behavioral health disorders. The friend- and fund-raising gala will take place at a new architecturally intriguing venue, Rockwell on the River, 3057 N. Rockwell, located on the north branch of the Chicago River.

More than 400 friends and family of Alexian Brothers Foundation are expected as they unite to make a lasting impact toward the multi-year $28 million “One Life at a Time” Alexian Brothers and AMITA Health initiative, which was launched in 2015 to focus on providing access to programs and services for behavioral medicine, homelessness, chronic illness, and autism spectrum and developmental disorders when and where people need it.

“Behavioral healthcare impacts all of us and it is going to take all of us to end the stigma and promote mental wellness,” explains Mark Frey, President and Chief Executive Officer, AMITA Health. “We have to advocate on behalf of individuals and families who need our help, and at the same time educate our professionals and get out into the community to expand access to a broad spectrum of healthcare services. This year’s Alexian Brothers Ball de Fleur is making a meaningful difference in this endeavor.”

With floor to ceiling windows and a grand courtyard, Rockwell on the River will serve as a unique venue for 2019 Ball de Fleur guests to enjoy a glamorous spring night in the city. Complete with a cocktail reception featuring tasting stations from Metropolitan Brewing, Silent and Live Auctions, and a Grand Raffle granting the winner an all-inclusive trip for two to Aruba, the evening will include a gourmet sit-down dinner before guests converge on the dance floor with the popular TC Squared band until midnight.

“The Alexian Brothers Foundation is helping to expand access to the best-in-class behavioral healthcare. With our state-of-the-art AMITA Health facilities across Illinois, we are bursting at the seams and as those in need continue to knock on our doors, we are here to provide compassionate care,” shares Melanie Furlan, Senior Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer, AMITA Health. “We have crafted a vision that is broad and inclusive, and in order to be successful we have to do this together. We do our best work when we are a united community.”
