Thousands Of Glass Pumpkins Return To Morton Arboretum's 'Patch'

More than two-dozen artists will be exhibiting their fall creations at Morton Arboretum's 8th Annual Glass Pumpkin Patch.

LISLE, IL — The 8th Annual Glass Pumpkin Patch returns Oct. 10 through 14 at The Morton Arboretum, where visitors will find more than 5,000 handcrafted, detailed glass pumpkins and other designs, including acorns, fruits, vegetables, leaves and more. In addition to finding the glass art beautifully displayed throughout the outdoor event near the Visitor Center, there will also be daily glass-blowing demonstrations from 11 local artists and 17 artists from around the U.S., according to the event website. The pieces will be on sale to the public from Oct. 12 through 14, ranging in price from $20 to $200.

Glass Pumpkin Patch Demonstrations & Exhibition, Oct 10 through 14:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 10, Thursday, Oct. 11: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 12: 10 a.m. to 12:59 p.m. (Exhibition), 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (Demos)
  • Saturday, Oct. 13, Sunday, Oct. 14: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Friday, Oct. 12, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, Oct. 13, Sunday, Oct. 14: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Illinois artists exhibiting this year include Shannon Jane Morgan of Girl Glass Studio in Sacramento, California, who's bright ornamental autumn designs, goblets, bowls, vases and other pieces have helped her make a name for herself, according to the event website.

The Glass Pumpkin Patch is included with admission to the Arboretum.
