Village Of Lisle Prepares For Weekend Snow Removal

With snow forecasted for this weekend, the Village’s Public Works Department has made preparations to respond to the resulting conditions. Personnel and plowing equipment have been made ready for any snow or ice removal that may be needed throughout the weekend. Snow and ice removal follows the following sequence:

• Arterial roads (main roads that run through subdivisions) including downtown Lisle, Village parking lots, and streets near schools and bus routes are cleared first.
• Secondary roads (roads that feed into the arterial streets) are cleared second.
• Cul-de-sacs are cleared last because they are the least traveled streets.

Please remember that parking restrictions go in effect after 1” of snowfall to allow for plows to clear the streets. Motorists are also encouraged to reduce their speed and allow for increased distance between vehicles during winter weather conditions.
