10th Anniversary of Manhattan Dental Care Annual Candy Buy Back

For a decade Manhattan Dental Care has been hosting this great event

For a decade Dr. Laura Aversano and the team at Manhattan Dental Care has been sponsoring the Annual Candy Buy Back. This great program benefits both children and military troops and is extremely popular in the community. Children donate the candy they collect on Halloween. Dr. Aversano pays the children a $1 a pound for the candy, and then she matches each candy donation with a $1 donated to Operation Care Package (OCP) plus all the collected candy is shipped to OCP for military troops.

This year’s the Annual Candy Buy Back is Nov. 5, 2019, from 3 to 7:30 p.m. at Manhattan Dental Care, 175 S. State Street, in Manhattan. In addition to receiving $1 per pound of candy, all the children who donate candy will be entered in a raffle for a $50 gift card. There is a limit of five entries per person and children must be accompanied by an adult.

Each year different groups have worked together to donate candy and then used the candy to support community causes. The Girl Scouts, the Boy Scouts and the Blue Crew at Manhattan Junior High have successfully raised money for their groups with the candy buy back.
