11 Manhattan Runners Finish 2017 Chicago Marathon
See the final times for all 11 Manhattan residents who finished the 2017 Bank of America Chicago Marathon

CHICAGO, IL — A record number of runners took part in the 40th anniversary of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Sunday and 11 were from Manhattan. More than 43,000 signed up and finished the 26.2-mile race through the streets of Chicago on Sunday. The race went through 29 neighborhoods and was met with fanfare from residents in Pilsen, Chinatown, Boystown and other popular sections of the city.
For the first time since 2002, an American won the marathon. Galen Rupp won the race with a time of 02:09:20. Tirunesh Dibaba, from Ethiopia, won the women's race with a 02:18:31 time.
