$150,000 Illinois Lottery Win ‘A Blessing’ for Kankakee Family

KANKAKEE, IL — “This win is a blessing,” Andrea Logan said when she presented her winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket at the Illinois Lottery Prize Center in Chicago. The lucky Kankakee resident plans to buy a house for her family after winning $150,000 when her ticket matched all five numbers ­­­­– 16 - 18 - 22 - 36 - 38 – in the Friday, December 23, evening drawing.

Logan has lived in Kankakee for 17 years. She was at home when she used her phone to look up the winningLucky Day Lotto numbers on the Illinois Lottery website. “I play my family members’ ages, so I know my numbers and I recognized them right away. I started shaking! I couldn’t believe it!”

The winning ticket was purchased at SS Friendly Market II, 330 S. Nelson Ave., in Kankakee. The retailer received a bonus of $1,500, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket. More than 13,500 players won prizes ranging from $1 to $200 in this Lucky Day Lotto evening drawing. Lucky Day Lotto drawings are twice a day, seven days a week.
