The Kevin Molloy State Farm Insurance, WJOL Pigskin Preview Week Eight Player of the Week award went to Lincoln-Way West receiver Billy Dozier who had an astounding game during the playoff clinching win over Bradley Bourbonnais. During the game, Dozier had nine catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns and added another 42 yards rushing and another touchdown in the 27-10 playoff win.
Wednesday night Dozier was awarded his trophy by Hall of Fame Coach Joe Rodeghero, high school football recruiting guru Edgy Tim and State Farm Agent Kevin Molloy in front of his teammates and Lincoln-Way West Football Coach Dave Ernst.
Dozier and his parents along with Coach Ernst will join the other weekly award winners at the December 8, 2019, Player of The Week banquet at Gatto’s Restaurant in New Lenox sponsored by Frank Gatto. The trophies awarded at the banquet include Offensive, Defensive and Coach of The Year. Trophies will be provided by Bill Garrigan from Fully Promoted of New Lenox.
