District 114 Makes Amendments To School Calendar
Aug. 21 will be the first day of student attendance.
MANHATTAN, IL — Due to a change in state law, the District 114 board of education has made some amendments to its calendar for the 2019-2020 school year. The district said the new rules have been what the school calendar has always followed, so the board adopted an amended calendar that is similar to the calendar from 2018-19.
The following changes were made to the school calendar:
- Aug. 20 has been changed to an Institute Day
- Aug. 21 has been changed to first student attendance day
- Aug. 26 has been changed to the first attendance day for early childhood and preschool for all
- Feb. 14, 2020 has been changed to an Institute Day
The last day of school remains the same, excluding possible emergency days due to severe weather.
