How To Support Forget Me Not's Senior, Hospice Animals

Thanks to the animal rescue's Bubbles Hospice Buddies Program, community members can support these animals in need. Here's how.

MANHATTAN, IL — There are several animals in need of adoption, fostering, medical assistance and other care at Forget Me Not Animal Rescue, located at P.O Box 483 in Manhattan. Among these animals are many seniors and hospice fosters who need daily care, ranging from prescription food, blood work, and medications for cancer and other health matters. Thanks to the animal rescue's Bubbles Hospice Buddies Program, named after their founder's first hospice, Bubbles, the public can support these animals in need and help with rising costs and bills, according to the rescue.

Forget Me Not Animal Rescue will allocate funds from the program to go specifically to the care and medical needs of their old pals.

"We are doing everything above and beyond for them but we need public support to continue helping our seniors," the rescue wrote in a Facebook post. Funds will also help senior pup Caper, whose cytologies came back positive for mast cell tumors, the rescue wrote.

"We will stop at nothing to make sure he is well and comfortable but as always it comes at a cost so we could use as much help as possible," the rescue said. "Thank you in advance for your support and following our dreams to help save the forgotten!"

Forget Me Not also sells Bubbles' Hospice Buddies t-shirts and tank tops to help fund their seniors' bills.
