Lincoln-Way West Hosts Fall Signing Day

MANHATTAN, IL — The Lincoln-Way West Athletic Department hosted its annual fall signing day, and six student athletes have committed to play their respective sports at the collegiate level.

“These student-athletes not only represent Lincoln-Way West in conference, regional, sectional and state athletic competitions, but also as role models in the school and community for all of our current students and for all of the future Warriors to follow. They have not only excelled in the athletic arena but also in the classroom,” Ted Robbins, athletic director, said in a release.

The student athletes who participated in signing day are:

• Ben Gerl- Northern Kentucky University, baseball
• Michael Kennedy- Marshall University, baseball
• Delaney Kunkel- University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, softball
• Kirsten Leitshuh- Gannon University, volleyball
• Molly Ryan- University of Toledo, softball
• Sydney Swanburg- Carthage College, cross country, track and field
