10 year old entrepreneur cleaning up the town in a unique way
Aidan's Creations is a successful local soap business owned by a 10 year old Manhattan boy
Local single mom Sharla DeRosa of Manhattan, had a creative way to teach her son Aidan Casey about hygiene when he was younger. She taught him how to make his own soap! It started off as just a fun way for Aidan to make his own soap and before you knew it, Aidan had his own business named Aidan’s Creations and he was making soap for people all over town. Sharla said, “I’ve always loved scents so we tried it and we both got hooked”. At the beginning Aidan liked the notoriety that came with selling his products and it gave him a way to use his math skills so it was a win win, but now it has turned into a well established business where Aidan and Sharla produce really nice products at an affordable price. They sell their products online on their website, on their Facebook page and at some local crafting fairs. The best part is that if you are local, you can message Sharla on Facebook and tell her what you want, and she will drive Aidan to your home to deliver it with no delivery charge. Aidan makes and sells bar soaps, bath bombs, lotions, room sprays, shower gel, gift sets and more! While most boys might be out cutting grass at a young age to make money, Aidan is running a successful soap business with his mother. Sharla said “It’s nice to have this extra money coming in for Aidan to go to birthday parties, out for ice cream, and have money for cub scouts. It also keeps him away from electronics and teaches him a lot of responsibility while giving him something to be passionate about.” Sharla is very proud of her son, she is grateful to all of their customers and looks forward to continue to work with Aidan making some of the best smelling and cleaning products around.
