Lost And Found Pets Of Will County: Week Of Sept. 9

Patch has created a list of animals who were recently lost or found, including some found by Will County Animal Control.

WILL COUNTY, IL — A lost dog or cat can be a pet owner's worst nightmare. Families often cover towns in 'lost pet' flyers and reach out on social media for help. The Will County Animal Control is one resource in Will County that shares lost and found animals on its Facebook page.

For those who may be searching for a pet, or if you have seen a lost animal and are trying to report it, Patch has created a list of animals who were recently lost or found, including some found by Will County Animal Control.

Crest Hill

  • Orange the cat, an orange tabby from Crest Hill, was last seen on Caton Crest Drive. Orange has a light circle on his back legs. He is a senior cat and needs his allergy shot. You can email cathyw1us@yahoo.com if you locate him.

Frankfort

  • Tank, a 12-week-old puppy has been missing from Frankfort since Sept. 11. He was last seen on Scheer Road between Steger and Stunkle Road. The family believes Tank may have gone into the forest preserve field off of Highland Drive. If found, call 708-268-8332 or 708-990-5394.

Joliet

  • A female Siberian Husky was found Sept. 5 near I-80 and Route 53. The dog has no microchip.


Manhattan

  • Dingo, a female Australian Cattle dog, has been missing since Sept. 6 from Manhattan, near Manhattan/Monee Road and Scheer Road. Dingo is also deaf.

Plainfield

  • A female cat was found in Plainfield on Aug. 31. She has no microchip.

Romeoville

  • This female Pit Bull was found in Romeoville on Sept. 9. The finder is looking for the owner.


For more information on pets found by Will County Animal Control, call them at (815) 462-5633. The organization does not have the ability to keep strays for long, and will give the dog over to an adoption facility.
