Manhattan Artist Participates In Park Forest Art Fair

MANHATTAN, IL — A Manhattan artist will be featured at the 64th annual Park Forest Art Fair on Saturday, Sept. 21 and Sunday, Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Village Green in downtown Park Forest. Amanda Lorance, of Manhattan, will have an exhibit at the fair.

Event organizers said this year, there are 23 new artists exhibiting as well as many returning artists who will be familiar to fair-goers. The artists work in a variety of media from oil, acrylic and watercolor painting, photography and printmaking to wood, glass and fiber arts.

According to a release, Lorance is a photographer who is focused on the use of colors, textures and symbolism to evoke thought and emotion through photography. Her knowledge partnered with her creative use of angles, light and depth, patterns and contrasting components allow her to challenge the boundaries of symbolism in photography using the composition to tell a story.
