Manhattan Dental Care Believes in Supporting the Community

Community outreach is not always associated with excellent dental care, but under the leadership of Dr. Laura Aversano, D.D.S., Manhattan Dental Care is getting that reputation. Dr. Aversano, owner of Manhattan Dental Care, believes it is crucial for local businesses to support their community. She and her staff demonstrate community support in a variety of ways.

Earlier this month, Manhattan Dental Care provided a $1,500 donation to St. Joseph’s Catholic School Las Vegas Night fundraiser. That donation covered all of the food for the evening, one of the school’s biggest fundraising events.

The upcoming Manhattan Irish Fest also is a recipient of Manhattan Dental Care’s support. They are one of this year’s Blarney Level Sponsors for the two-day event.

The dental office also supported the local Girl Scout’s troop in their recent cookie drive. They purchased over $400 in cookies from Manhattan Dental Care patients. The cookies are being donated to the Manhattan Food Pantry.

For the past several years, Manhattan Dental Care has hosted a Halloween candy buy back event. Children bring in their candy and receive $1 per pound of candy donated. The candy is then given to Operation Care Package. The event has grown every year with hundreds of pounds of candy being collected. This year over 1,000 pounds of candy was collected.

“My staff and I try to have some type of community event every month. I think it is important that we demonstrate our community support through events like the candy buy back and others. We have a commitment to continue giving back to this area,” Dr. Aversano said.
