Manhattan Man Punches Casino Security Officer: Cops

MANHATTAN, IL — A Manhattan man has been charged with aggravated battery after punching a casino security officer several times, Joliet Police said. Brian Kestel, 38, was charged with aggravated battery and criminal trespassing on Feb. 23.
Police said at 10:55 p.m. Feb. 23, officers responded to Harrah's Casino, 151 N. Joliet Street, for a person refusing to identify himself. According to police, Kestel was asked by Harrah's security to provide identification for reporting purposes due to the amount of money he had won.
Kestel refused and was asked to leave multiple times by security, police said. He was told he was going to be detained, and he pulled away from security officers.

Police said Kestel then punched a security officer several times. After a brief struggle, he was placed into custody. Joliet Police then responded and Kestel was transferred to their custody.
Kestel was taken to Will County Adult Detention Facility and as of Feb. 25, he had not been released.
