New Girl Scout Troops Forming In Manhattan-Area

Two "Taste of Girl Scouts" events are planned in Manhattan this month.

MANHATTAN, IL - Two events are planned this month for families in the Manhattan area who are interested in having their young girls take part in Girl Scouts programs. Families are invited to learn more about the new troops forming in the area at two “Taste of Girl Scouts” events.

The first one is planned for 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 26 at the Village of Manhattan Community Room, 260 Market Place. The next is planned for the same time and place on Thursday, March 29.

According to a news release, the Girl Scouts recently debuted an exciting new series of badges that introduce girls to hands-on and age-appropriate experiences for girls as young as five. Girls can design robots and race cars, go on environmentally conscious camping trips, write code, collect data in the great outdoors, try their hand at engineering, and more.
