Presidents Day is a federal holiday celebrated annually the third Monday in February.

MANHATTAN, IL — Presidents Day—in recognition of George Washington's birthday—is a federal holiday celebrated annually the third Monday of February. This year, it falls on Monday, Feb. 18. Most government offices, courts and banks will be closed, however most retailers will be open.

Here's a look at how Presidents Day will affect institutions and services around Manhattan:

Schools: No classes for Lincoln-Way District 210 or District 114.
Government: County, state and federal government offices will be closed.
Library: Manhattan-Elwood Public Library will be closed.
Postal Service: No mail delivery, and all post offices will be closed.
Banks: Most financial institutions will be closed. Call ahead to be sure.
CTA and Metra: Trains and buses for the transportation agencies will be running on normal Monday schedules.
