Relocation Of Gougar, Route 52 Intersection Begins

The project should take about 3 months to complete.

MANHATTAN, IL — The relocation of the Gougar Road and Route 52 intersection started the week of Aug. 19, the village said. The project will include relocating the intersection 1,000 feet south and the installation of turn lanes.

The village said the project will increase the safety at the current intersection and create two new viable commercial corners on US Route 52. This project is being funded with an 80 percent grant. The project was awarded to P.T. Ferro in May.

The project should take about 3 months to complete.
