Two Injured In Serious Crash Near Manhattan: Police
Both drivers involved in the crash were taken to Silver Cross Hospital with serious injuries, police said.
MANHATTAN, IL — Both drivers involved in a crash on Monday morning sustained serious injuries, Illinois State Police said. Police responded to Route 52 and Offner Road near Manhattan at 9:56 a.m. Monday.
According to police, the crash involved a 2007 Toyota Camry and a 2015 Ford Focus. The Toyota was traveling on West Offner Road approaching the stop sign at Route 52, while the Ford was traveling northbound on Route 52.
Police said the Toyota turned onto Route 52 in front of the Ford and was t-boned in the intersection. The drivers of both cars, a 55-year-old man from Manteno and a 55-year-old woman from Du Bois, were taken to Silver Cross Hospital.
