Woman Found Dead on I-57 Median: Police
The 30-year-old woman had apparently been struck by a vehicle, Illinois State Police said.
KANKAKEE, IL — Police are investigating after a 30-year-old Bradley woman was found dead on an Interstate 57 median Saturday morning.
Troopers were called to I-57 near milepost 303 in Kankakee County just after 8 a.m. for reports of a woman on the median, Illinois State Police said. They found 30-year-old Jamie M. DeLeon deceased at the scene.
It appears DeLeon had been struck by an unknown vehicle, police said. Authorities closed northbound and southbound passing lanes while police investigated.

The incident remained under investigation Saturday morning, Chicago Sun-Times reports.
