4th Of July Fireworks 2021 Near Mokena

MOKENA, IL — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day. July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

Here's what's in store this July 4 in Mokena:

July 4 Festivities

What: Fourth of July Parade
Where: Beginning at La Porte Road and Mokena Street
When: Noon, July 4

The parade returns after it was canceled last year due to the pandemic. Participants and spectators must adhere to CDC guidelines on the day of the event, and a livestream will also be available for viewing.

What: Fireworks display
Where: Ozinga Bros. property, just north of the Hickory Creek Metra lot
When: Fireworks begin at dusk on July 4

For the second year, the fireworks display will be held at the Ozinga Bros. property, northeast of La Grange Road and 191st St.
