Barbershop, Brewery Team Up For New Brew

MOKENA, IL — Two businesses in the Lincoln-Way area have teamed up to make a new brew at Arrowhead Ales Brewing Company in New Lenox. "Get Faded" is a fruited wheat ale brewed with mango and coconut is a partnership between Arrowhead Ales and The Chop Shop Barbershop in Mokena.

Brian Delestowicz, the owner of The Chop Shop Barbershop, said Mike Bacon, the owner of Arrowhead Ales, is a client of his.

"We've been talking about doing something like this for the past couple of years and we decided when the coronavirus came that now is the time for two local businesses to get together and collaborate while supporting each other," Delestowicz said.

Delestowicz said he came up with the name for "its fitting multiple meanings" and was involved in the process from brewing to canning.

815 cans of "Get Faded" were canned, and are available now at Arrowhead Ales for $6 a pint or a 4-pack for $14.

The businesses are also working on getting it on tap at some local restaurants and available for purchase at some local stores.
