Doc's Smokehouse Mokena Closes Until Further Notice

MOKENA, IL — Doc's Smokehouse in Mokena has closed until further notice, the business shared on its Facebook page. The restaurant, 19081 Old La Grange Road, said its last day of operations until further notice was Sunday.

The business said it has strived to deliver an amazing experience despite "conflicting safety information from health departments and the CDC."

"It has become clear to me that we are no longer able to deliver the Doc's experience in a manner that is safe for both our guests and our staff," the business said on its Facebook.

The restaurant offers Southern BBQ, as well as craft beer and whiskey.

"While it is heartbreaking to close the business that we have poured our heart and soul into, I know that by closing now we will be able to return better than ever," the business shared on its Facebook. "This is temporary. We will be back."

Doc's Smokehouse also has locations in Madison, Wisconsin; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Dyer, Indiana.
