The popular all-day event returns July 18.

MOKENA, IL. — Hey mambo! Festa Italiana is set to make its return to Mokena July 18 in the Metra lot on Front Street. And after a year away because of the pandemic, one can bet the party will be a memorable one this year.

The day is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at Mokena Intermediate School, 11331 195th St.,with a procession marking the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Bus service will be available for those who cannot walk in the procession.

From there, the party moves to Downtown Mokena at noon in the Metra lot on Front Street. Bus service will also be provided from Mokena Elementary School, 11244 Willowcrest Lane, due to the limited number of parking spaces on Front Street.
