March To 3 Cemeteries Planned On Memorial Day In Mokena

MOKENA, IL — The William Martin VFW Post #725 is organizing another Memorial Day march, with stops planned at all three cemeteries in Mokena.

The march will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 28. Stops will be made at St. Mary's Cemetery, Pioneer Cemetery and St. John's Cemetery before making its way to the VFW hall at 19852 S. Wolf Road.

All three cemeteries are along Wolf Road, which will be closed to traffic during the march.

The names of soldiers from the Mokena-area who have died will be read off at the cemeteries.

Organizers expect the march to conclude around noon.
