MES students learn about historical figures in unique ways!

Mrs. Rueth's class put on a wax museum!

On Wednesday, February 6 Mrs. Rueth's class put on a Wax Museum. If you’ve been to a wax museum, then you know how fun (& educational) this project was for our class! A wax museum is a museum containing wax figures of famous people created to give visitors the opportunity to feel like they are “face-to-face” with a real celebrity. Many wax museums also contain an element of education. When a button near the figure is pushed, it “comes to life,” telling guests about the person’s life.

Our wax museum of important historical people is a project celebrating those who have had significant impact on the formation and growth of our world. Their ideas, hard work, determination, and sacrifice paved the way for how we live today. The students have chosen a biography book from our school library or a book from another library to research and learn about. They presented their information to each other, parents, and relatives. The students were very exited to have everyone share in their experience!
