MJHS Seventh Grade Boys Basketball Team Advances To Sectionals

The team defeated the Summit Hill Spartans from Frankfort 43-30 to advance to sectionals.

MOKENA, IL — The Mokena Junior High seventh grade boys basketball team has advanced to the Class 7-4A sectionals after becoming regional champions Jan. 29. According to the IESA website, the team will play Ottawa at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at Mokena Junior High School, 19815 S. Kirkstone Way.

The district said the team defeated the Summit Hill Spartans from Frankfort 43-30 to advance to sectionals.

Mokena is 21-5 and Ottawa is 24-3.
