MJHS students participated in the Mokena Village Celebration

Thanks to everyone who made this great!

MJHS students participated in the Mokena Village Celebration of the Illinois Bicentennial. Our former students made up the Air Force Junior ROTC Color Guard. They presented the Colors and stood guard throughout the ceremony. We had a 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Boy Scout Troop 40 say the Pledge of Allegiance. 8th grader Caitlin Genardo sang the Illinois song. Our 8th grade History teachers, Mr. Balis and Mrs. Klappauf, wrote the script for our five National Junior Honor Society Students to read about Illinois and Mokena History.

Thank you to Dr. Rolinitis, Mrs. Paban, Mokena Village administrator Mr. Zoellner, and to everyone else involved!
