Mokena Approves Children's Party Facility
The business will host children's themed parties, including themed rooms dedicated to manicures, pedicures, costumes and gaming.
MOKENA, IL — At its Monday meeting, the Mokena Village Board approved a special use permit for Fortress Royalty Parties, a children's party facility.
According to board documents, the facility is located in the multi-tenant industrial building at 9700 W. 197th St. A special use permit is required for indoor recreational facilities in the I-1, light industrial district.
Director of Economic and Community Development Alan Zordan said the business would host children's parties which will be themed parties, including themed rooms dedicated to manicures, pedicures, costumes and gaming.

Board documents state the targeted age groups for the parties would be from ages 5 to 12. Permission slips would be required for each child upon entering the building, and parents will be required to show proof of identity when picking up their child.
Zordan said the floor plan includes a gaming room, a princess room, a princess prep room, an arts and crafts room and a lunchroom.

The business will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and would be closed on Monday and Tuesday.
