Mokena Artist Participates In Park Forest Art Fair

MOKENA, IL — A Mokena artist will be featured at the 64th annual Park Forest Art Fair on Saturday, Sept. 21 and Sunday, Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Village Green in downtown Park Forest. Catherine Trezek, from Mokena, will have an exhibit at the fair.

Event organizers said this year, there are 23 new artists exhibiting as well as many returning artists who will be familiar to fair-goers. The artists work in a variety of media from oil, acrylic and watercolor painting, photography and printmaking to wood, glass and fiber arts.

According to a release, Trezek creates oil paintings, using imagery that evokes thoughts of love, wonderment and peaceful moments. Her technique includes the use of soft brush strokes and colors of light to invoke emotions of a loving spirit.
