Mokena Beautification Award Winners Announced

MOKENA, IL - The 2018 Mokena Beautification Award winners have been selected and announced. Seventy winners were awarded last month during a celebratory event at the Pipe Fitters Training Center Local Union 597. Fourteen of the winners received lifetime beautification awards at the event.

All residences and businesses in Mokena are considered for the award so long as they are in good standing with their utility bills. Judges viewed the homes from the streets, and based their decisions on the look of the front yards only.

Local businesses who were recognized were Chef Klaus' Country Cookin', 8450 W. 191st Street; Provisur, 9150 W. 191st St.; Tuscany Falls, 9425 W. 191st St.; Little Blossom Early Education, 19245 Everett Lane; Condata Global,, 9830 W. 190th St., Unit M; Tri-Star Real Estate, 19224 Schoolhouse Road; Old Plank Trail Community Bank, 20012 S. Wolf Road; Izzy’s Gifts, 11318 W. Lincoln Highway.

"We appreciate the hard work everyone puts into their homes and businesses to keep Mokena beautiful," the village of Mokena wrote in a recent e-mail newsletter to residents.
