Mokena Eighth Grade Girls Basketball Advances To Sectionals
In the sectional competition, the girls will face Kankakee Junior High School.
MOKENA, IL — The Mokena Junior High eighth grade girls basketball team continues its impressive season and has advanced to the IESA sectionals.
In Regional competition, Mokena first faced Manhattan and defeated them 44-10, according to the IESA website. Next, they faced Homer Glen, and also won 39-9. Most recently, in the Regional Championship Dec. 6, Mokena defeated Hickory Creek 38-35.
In thevsectional competition, the girls will face Kankakee Junior High School at Bourbonnais Upper Grade Center, 200 W. John Casey, in Bourbonnais at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11. Mokena is 24-2 while Kankakee is 17-0.

The winner of the game will face the winner of Urbana Middle School and Mattoon.
