Mokena Junior High Cheerleading Team Takes Fifth In State Finals

MOKENA, IL — The Mokena Junior High School cheerleading team took fifth place in the IESA small team routine cheerleading state finals.

The state finals were held Jan. 25 at Peoria Civic Center. According to the IESA website, the Mokena team had a score of 82.45, coming in just behind Lockport Taft and ahead of Lockport Oak Prairie.

The district said 31 teams competed in the small cheer division.
