Mokena Junior High Girls Basketball Team Finishes Third At State

MOKENA, IL — Mokena Junior High's eighth grade basketball team has ended their season with a third place state finish. The team faced Canton Ingersoll in the match for third place, and won 35-26.

The Meteors took third place in the IESA class 4A state tournament held at Macon Meridian High School Dec. 19. Alton took home first in the tournament, and Shorewood Troy finished second.

The team finished the season with a record of 27-3.
