Students were chosen based on leadership, positive attitude, academic initiative, among other factors.

MOKENA, IL — Mokena Junior High School recently inducted its newest seventh and eighth grade National Junior Honor Society members. According to the district, students were chosen based on a variety of factors, including positive attitudes, inspiring positive behavior in others, demonstrating academic initiative, leadership in the classroom and in other school or community activities, accepting responsibility and dependability.

Inducted students included: Eighth grader Kayla Wagner; and seventh graders Nicholas Bartkus, Ava Bischof, Eleanor Blaisdell, Juliana Kahl, Sydney Kane, Catherine Kelliher, Mia LaMonte, Alexandra Ludwig, Breanna Maves, Nolan Morrill, Keira O’Connor, Ava Oostema, Tyler Rafa, Cooper Riedl, John Wallace, Aiden Wojtczak, and Andrew Woodburn.
