Mokena Park District Plans Chalk It Up Contest

MOKENA, IL — To celebrate Unplug Illinois Day on July 10, the Mokena Park District will hold an Unplug and Chalk it Up contest. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Main Park, 10925 W. La Porte Road.

Participants at the event can use sidewalk chalk to create their own art. The park district will award prizes for most create, best unplug theme, best youth (12 and under), overall first place and overall second place.

All ages are welcome at the event, and groups or families up to four can also enter. It is $5 per person or per group.

Spots are limited, so participants must pre-register. You can register online for the event; the registration deadline is July 2.
