Mokena Park District Plans Spring Events

With the arrival of spring comes a whole new batch of events hosted by Mokena Community Park District.

MOKENA, IL —Although it may not feel like it, spring is just around the corner. With the arrival of spring comes a whole new batch of events hosted by Mokena Community Park District.

First up, there will be a Flashlight Egg Hunt on Thursday, April 11 at Yunker Farm in Mokena. The park district said there will be one golden egg hidden at the hunt, and that egg contains the biggest prize. There will also be few eggs filled with tickets to redeem for raffle prizes.

After the egg hunt, there will be a pizza dinner. Make sure to bring your own flashlight and a bag to college the eggs. The event will start at 8 p.m. and is $12 for residents.

The park district will also host a Bunny Brunch on Saturday, April 13. The brunch will be held at the Frankfort Aurelio's at 10:30 a.m. There will be a bunny for kids to meet, and a pizza, pasta and salad buffet.

It is $16 for early registration, and kids 1 year and under are free.
