Mokena VFW Plans Memorial Day Remembrance

MOKENA, IL — William Martin VFW Post 725 in Mokena will host a Memorial Day remembrance, starting at 11 a.m. on Monday. The ceremony will be held at the VFW Post, 19852 S. Wolf Road.

According to the village website, the event will include a reading of names at 11 a.m. outdoors if weather permits, a hot dog lunch inside at noon, a dedication of the names added to the memorial plaque at 12:30 p.m., and a Memorial Day musical tribute at 1 p.m.

Music will be performed by Hannah Nicks, Jillian Rice and Andrew Rodeghero, according to the village website.

Names to be added to the memorial include: Richard Bluhm, Edward Cieply, Edward Dudley, Robert Merrick and Edwin Woodcock, Sr.
