MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's adoptable pet is Cheeto, who is available for adoption at the humane society.

Cheeto is a 1 and a half year old male, orange tabby cat. According to the society, he was rescued from a high-kill shelter in southern Illinois where he was on the euthanasia list.

Cheeto is very friendly, outgoing, gentle and lovable, the society said. He loves belly rubs and will roll on his back trying to woo visitors to give him some. Cheeto likes to be pet and held.

Cheeto is FIV-positive, so he would need to be the only cat in a home or live with other FIV-positive cats or possibly live with non-aggressive cats.
