MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's adoptable pet is Cupid, who is available for adoption at the humane society.
Cupid is a 2-year-old female, black, domestic short hair cat. The society said she was found as a stray before being brought to NAWS.
Cupid was initially shy and tentative, the society said, but has made a breakthrough and now loves attention and will seek it out. She loves pets and will give head bumps to show her appreciation.

The society said Cupid is curious and loves to explore. Cupid needs a patient owner who will give her time to adjust and build trust – then she will make a wonderful companion cat.
