Hanna Winkleman is a 8th grader at Noonan Elementary Academy in Mokena and has been selected by her teacher, Mrs. Gray, as this week's Standout Student. Congratulations Hanna and to the Winkleman family.

What is one essential you must have when studying?

One essential I must have when studying is it must be quiet! If it is not quiet, I can’t focus

What do you like to do when not in school or studying?

I like to hang out with my friends and play volleyball

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to be a veterinarian. I love everything about animals

What are some of your most played songs on your iPod?

Any song by juice wrld, anything country, or any songs by khalid

What is one thing people don't know about you?

That I love snow skiing. I have been on the slopes since I was 5 and I love every second of it

Whom do you look up to and why?

I look up to Mother Theresa. I look up to Mother Theresa because I think it is amazing now thoughtful and selfless, she was. She cared about everyone more than herself and that is a beautiful thing.

What do you keep under your bed?

I keep slippers under my bed and a book to read if I can’t fall asleep

Who is your favorite teacher and why?

Mrs. Gray is my favorite teacher because she really makes her classes fun and interactive

What is your favorite class and why?

My favorite class is Social Studies. I love learning about different cultures and periods in time. It really sparks my interest

What's one thing that stands out about your school?

Noonan Academy has a great family environment and provides us with outstanding education and tremendous spiritual growth

What extracurricular(s) do you wish your school had?

I wish my school had a chemistry club and football

What's your morning routine?

I wake up, get dressed in my uniform, eat breakfast, brush my teeth, and I go to Providence Catholic High School. Following Match class at Providence, I get on a bus which takes me to Noonan Academy

If you could change one thing about school what would it be?

I wish the two eight grade classes could be one. A majority of us have been together since kindergarten

What's your best memory from school?

My favorite from my time at Noonan Academy was crowing Mary at May Crowning in fourth grade
