Ella Dahlman is a 4th grader at Noonan Elementary Academy in Mokena and has been selected by her teacher, Mrs. Dreyer, as this week's Standout Student. Congratulations Ella and to the Dahlman family.

What is one essential you must have when studying?
A quiet, clean workspace

What do you like to do when not in school or studying?
To hang out with my friends, go on walks with my dogs, hanging with family and baking

What is your dream job?
My dream job is to be a judge in the Supreme Court

What are some of your most played songs on your iPod?
Savage Love by Jason Duerlo and You Need to Calm Down by Taylor Swift are two of my most played songs on my Ipod

What is one thing people don't know about you?
My people don’t know that I am good at Zumba and I love doing Zumba classes

Whom do you look up to and why?
I look up to Ruth Bader Ginsburg because she fought so hard to make sure everyone was treated equal. And was a very fair judge to all

What do you keep under your bed?
I keep extra blankets and my piggy bank under my bed

Who is your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teacher is Mrs. Dreyer because she is very funny and nice

What is your favorite class and why?
Spanish because I love learning a new language and there’s always a fun new thing to learn

What's one thing that stands out about your school?
One thing that stands out about our school is that we are a very small school, which makes me feel like I’m a part of a very small community. I am very thankful that I get to learn about God and pray everyday

What extracurricular(s) do you wish your school had?
I think our school has great extracurricular. If I had to add anything it would be Zumba classes

What's your morning routine?
I wake up, brush my teeth, get dressed, eat breakfast and hop in the car for school

If you could change one thing about school what would it be?
The only thing I would change about school is that there are no classes on Friday and half of day on Monday

What's your favorite thing to eat in the cafeteria?
My favorite lunch is Mrs. Katy’s Beef Stew

What's your best memory from school?
My best memory of school is starting this year with in person learning. I missed school last year, virtual learning is not as fun as being at school
