Brian D. Munch

Age 63, of Mokena, IL passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL. He was born February 13, 1956, to the late Betty (nee Thomas) and late Walter Munch of Lockport, IL.

Best friend, partner and husband to Carole Lavin Munch for 36 years; loving father of Melissa (Mathew) Becker and BJ (Jenny) Munch; proud grandfather of Mathew, Keri, Addy, Jimmy, and Landon; fond brother of David (Joyce) Munch and Catherine (the late George) Passas. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

“Uncle Munch” or “Grandpa Munch”, his two favorite titles, was a retired technician in the telecommunications industry. He will be remembered fondly for his larger than life personality, his infectious laugh and his unique sense of humor. He worked hard and played hard and always made people feel included whether it was a family party, golf outing or quiet dinner with friends.

Some of Brian’s hobbies included fishing, golf, and cooking. He especially enjoyed preparing meals and bringing people together to celebrate.
