Tribes Alehouse in Mokena, IL Plans a Small Craft Brewery

MOKENA, IL – Niall Freyne, Owner of Tribes Alehouse in Mokena and Tinley Park, IL, has begun work on his plan to expand the Mokena location at 11220 W. Lincoln Highway by adding a small craft microbrewery. He is currently putting the final touch on lease negotiations for a 2,000 square foot space which is right next door. He will be hiring a brewmaster by early next year and will be producing about 340 gallons at a time, which translates to about 16 kegs. “I simply want to make this for our customers in house,” says Freyne, adding that if he is very confident about the quality and process he would offer it to others as well.

Currently each location offers about 50 taps and the new menu was recently implemented. “We have had a great start to the Fall season,” says Freyne, who just hosted his Annual Oysterfest which packed the house for three straight days. “Customers are very receptive to the new menu and they are excited about our plans for the microbrewery and so are we!”
