Verizon Store Robbed In Mokena: Cops

MOKENA, IL — Two men robbed a Verizon store in Mokena Thursday evening, police said. The robbery happened at 6:30 p.m., at Verizon, 19200 S. La Grange Road.

Employees were forced into a back room of the store, while the two men stole cash, several phones and Apple Watches, according to police. The men were wearing black hoodies, black masks, and black pants and shoes.

The offenders fled the scene in a car reported stolen out of Chicago, and headed westbound on I-80, police said.

There is no evidence the offenders were armed, police said.

Detectives continue to investigate the incident.
