Will County Approves Delay Payment of Real Estate Taxes

The Will County Board on May 21 approved the delayed payment of Real Estate taxes for this year due to COVID-19. The 50% installment which is normally due on June 3rd has been reduced to 25%. On August 3rd an additional 25% will be due. On September 3rd the next 25% is due and the final 25% is due on November 3rd. No penalties will be incurred for delayed payment. If you have an escrow account with a mortgage company they may not follow this change of payments. It will mainly benefit seniors who may no longer have a mortgage and small businesses.
