Will County Sheriff's Office Hiring Social Worker

WILL COUNTY, IL — The Will County Sheriff's Office is looking to hire a second police social worker. According to the job description for the position, the employee will provide social service assistance for Will County citizens in need and act as a liaison with various resources and community groups.

Among other duties, the position will provide referrals for family counseling, emotional trauma, provide supportive services, and prove training and communication to the sheriff's office regarding mental health issues, domestic violence issues, and elder and dependent adult abuse.

The applicant must have a Master's degree in human services or social work or related field; and be a licensed social worker or a licensed professional counselor with 1-3 years of post graduate experience.

The position has a salary of $64,979 annually, and applications are due by Aug. 21.
