Woman Held At Gunpoint In Mokena Carjacking: Police
The woman was unharmed, and the suspect fled the area after the incident on Monday at a Mokena CVS, police said.
MOKENA, IL — A woman was held at gunpoint and her car was stolen Monday night in Mokena, police said. The armed robbery and carjacking happened at 9:13 p.m. Monday at CVS, 19900 S. La Grange Road.
According to police, the woman had exited her car and was going into the CVS when someone grabbed her purse. A man wearing a dark face mask pointed a handgun at her and demanded her purse, cell phone and car, police said.
The woman complied and then ran into the business unharmed. According to police, the man fled in the woman's car, a white 2020 Acura TLX.

Police said a dark-colored Dodge Charger, which was stolen in another carjacking in Blue Island on Monday, may have also been involved in this incident.
Police found the woman's vehicle several hours later, unoccupied, in Hammond, Indiana.
