Carjacking At Naperville Gas Station: Police

A man reported that his Lexus was stolen by a man with a handgun

The following was provided by the Naperville Police Department:

"At approximately 4:58 a.m. on Friday, March 24, Naperville Police Officers responded to the BP at 1983 Brookdale Road for the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers encountered the victim, a 40-year-old man from Mundelein, who reported that a male subject had approached him, pointed a handgun at him, and demanded his vehicle. The victim turned over his vehicle, a silver 2013 Lexus with the license plate ES300H. The suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle and was last seen traveling northbound on Route 59. The victim was uninjured. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 20 years of age, 5’10” 200 lbs., dressed in all black.

Officers disseminated the information to other Naperville units and surrounding local law enforcement agencies. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Naperville Police Department at (630) 420-6666."
